The seed swap was part of a celebration in the Stump and proved very popular with visitors. This highlight was the distribution of monkey puzzle seeds given to Bloom by a resident.
The seeds have a top (dark brown), and a bottom (lighter brown). They came from a tree which the resident grew from a much older tree being felled in a new road scheme. It took her 20 years to grow the tree and to get the seeds.
They were very popular and soon there will monkey puzzle trees all over Boston.
We were grateful to Willoughby Road Allotments for a gift of seeds for the day.
