2018 will be marked down as a brilliant year for Boston in Bloom. To add to an armful of successes it has now received a Boston Business Award and a Pride of Boston Award.
The in-bloom team added its fourth gold medal running to its impressive list of in-bloom successes, as well as four other special in-bloom awards in 2018.
Now it has received a trophy and certificate in the Boston Standard community/business environmental achievement award and the Boston Preservation Trust Civic Group Pride of Boston award.
Boston-in-Bloom chairman, Alison Fairman, said: “We are delighted to receive these additional awards. It has been a truly golden year for Boston-in Bloom, with recognition at all levels for the hard work of all the volunteers. It is especially gratifying to have recognition from the residents of our own town.”
Cllr Claire Rylott, vice chairman of the in-bloom group, added: “It is great to celebrate so much that’s positive in Boston. To add to all the successes of 2018 we have also been chosen to represent the whole of the East Midlands in the national in-bloom awards.”
